  • Introduction

    Recently, significant progress in the theories and processing of metallic materials has been obtained. These advanced processing techniques include the grain refinement, the ultrasonic large-scale casting, the asymmetric cryorolling, the incremental metal forming, the welding of heterogeneous structural materials, and the anti-oxidation treatment of steels. Such research of metallic processing would provide new insights for relevant communities of science, engineering, and industry. This special issue is a systematic review of the state-of-the-art metallic processing mentioned, which aims to broaden the dissemination of breakthrough. Original research papers are solicited in the fields, including the grain refinement, the large-scale casting, the asymmetric cryorolling, the additive metal forming, the welding of structural materials, and the oxidation of advanced steels.

    Aims and Scope:

    Grain refinement of metallic materials
    Advanced casting at meter-scale or micro-scale
    Asymmetric cryorolling
    Addictive metal forming such as incremental forming
    Welding of structural materials
    Oxidation of advanced steels

  • Guidelines for Submission

    Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.
